JOB VACANCY: YARDMAN
Working within the Head Office of a nationwide fencing, architectural metalwork and joinery company you will work alongside the HFS Retail Team. Working within the retail timber and gate division your main activity is to provide exceptional customer service within the timber yard. To be the second operative of the Creosote Plant. Advising and assisting customers with their timber requirements and providing advice to enable them to purchase suitable products. To be the face of HFS and to promote the services we provide.
Key Responsibilities will include -
· Operation and maintenance of the creosote plant
· Assisting customers with advice on timber products and making recommendations to meet their requirements.
· Cutting of stock materials to meet customer requirements
· Customer order picking and control of stock
· Assisting customers in the yard and ensuring that all purchases are checked off before customer leaves the premises
· General yard duties including housekeeping of stock
· Assisting with stock taking within the yard
· Taking instructions from Counter Sales
· Meeting health and safety requirements of the yard eg housekeeping and wearing personal protective equipment.
The successful candidate will must be commercial aware and have excellent customer service. Forklift truck experience preferred but not essential.
40 hour week

JOB VACANCY: Weekend Retail Sales Assistant
Working within the Head Office of a nationwide fencing, architectural metalwork and joinery company you will work alongside the General Manager (GM). Working within the retail timber and gate divisions your main activity is to offer exceptional customer service at all times in the shop and on the telephone. Advising customers regarding prices, product types and taking orders both on the telephone and in person at the sales counter. This role is customer focused to ensure we are consistently meeting customer expectations. Hours of work:
8am – 1pm Saturday (October to February)
8am – 4pm Saturday (March – September)
10am – 4pm Sunday (March – September)
